Corporate Code of Conduct

1. Compliance with laws, ordinances, etc.
   C. I. Kasei not only complies with laws, ordinances, etc., but also fully understands and respects the spirit of the laws, and always acts in a socially conscious manner.
2. Providing society with valuable products and technology
   While meeting the social needs of parties such as consumers, which are becoming more diverse, the Company will give sufficient attention to product liability, energy and raw material conservation, and environmental preservation and will work to develop, produce, and provide technology and products that are socially valuable and safe under the catchphrase “manufacturing friendly to people, the earth and the future.”
3. Management from a long-term growth perspective
   C. I. Kasei does not focus solely on short-term profits but always conducts business with a long-term perspective.
4. Fair business
   C. I. Kasei conducts business recognizing that ensuring fair and free competition is a basic rule of market economies and maintains healthy, proper, and transparent relations with the government and bureaucracy.
5. Disclosure
   C. I. Kasei communicates with shareholders and society at large, and actively, steadily, and fairly discloses corporate information in a timely fashion.
6. Aggressive efforts toward environmental issues
   C. I. Kasei deeply recognizes the close relationship between corporate activity and the environment, makes independent and continual efforts throughout the company to preserve the environment, and works to exist in harmony with the global environment.
7. Social contributions
   C. I. Kasei works to harmonize gains for the Company with gains for society and actively fulfills its role as a conscientious corporate citizen.
8. Realizing a safe and easy-to-work-in workplace
   While ensuring a safe and easy-to-work in environment by aiming for no accidents or injuries and enabling employees to live pressure-free and rich lives, C. I. Kasei places the greatest respect on the personality and individuality of employees and is working to create a free and open-minded corporate culture where employees can demonstrate their creativity.
9. Resistance against anti-social forces and organizations
   C. I. Kasei firmly resists anti-social forces and organizations that threaten the order and safety of civil society.
10. International cooperation
    As a citizen of the international society, C. I. Kasei respects the culture and customs of regions throughout the world and conducts business that contributes to the development of those regions.
11. Thorough education
    C. I. Kasei works to thoroughly educate employees of the C. I. Kasei Corporate Code of Conduct and has established an internal system in accordance with separately stipulated items.
12. Taking the initiative
    C. I. Kasei management takes the initiative and works to realize the spirit of the C.I. Corporate Code of Conduct. In the unlikely case a situation arises that violates this, managers themselves work to determine the cause and prevent a reoccurrence when resolving the issues. Furthermore, in addition to promptly and precisely disclosing information to society, strict response, including for managers themselves, will be taken after clarifying the authority and responsibility.
