| January 1963 | The Company was established under its original name Hama Kasei Co., Ltd. with joint capital investment by Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. and the affiliates of Furukawa Group companies, including Zeon Corporation (Capital: 473 million yen). |

| March 1963 | The Company took over the business rights of synthetic compounds business from Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. |
| August 1964 | Shiga Factory was completed. |
| September 1967 | The Company acquired equity participation from Itochu Corporation, with the aim of further strengthening its business foundation. |
| April 1971 | The name of the Company was changed to C. I. Kasei Co., Ltd., following its merger with Kobe Plastic Co., Ltd., a plastic processing manufacturer of Itochu Group. Capital was increased to 800 million yen. |
| October 1973 | Tochigi Factory was completed. |
| July 1980 | Capital was increased to 900 million yen. |
| April 1985 | Capital was increased to 1,500 million yen. |
| February 1989 | Bonset America Corporation (North Carolina, U.S.A.) was established. |
| March 1990 | Capital was increased to 2,500 million yen. (End of fiscal year was changed from September to March.) |
| December 1993 | Capital was increased to 5,500 million yen. The Company was listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. |
| September 1995 | The Company was listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. |
| December 1995 | Shanghai CIK Precision Motor Co., Ltd. (currently the SHANGHAI CIK ELECTRONICS CO., LTD., Shanghai, China) was established. |
| October 1999 | Okayama Factory was completed. |
| April 2005 | The Company spun off its Plumbing Equipment Department (Kubota-C.I. Co., Ltd.). |
| June 2005 | The Company merged with C.I. Sanplus Co., Ltd. |
| April 2007 | BONLEX EUROPE S.r.l. (Veneto, Italy) was established. |
| April 2009 | The Company spun off its Nanotek Division (CIK NanoTek Corporation) |

Public tender offer by Itochu Corporation is successful, making C.I.Kasai a wholly owned subsidiary of the Itochu group.
The Company was delisted on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. (17th) |
