High-Specific-Gravity Sheet

Tungsten Sheet

	A thermoplastic elastomer is highly filled with tungsten powder to make this high-specific-gravity sheet. For the sheet, we used our technology for compounding and sheet making that we have cultivated through the production of rubber magnets over the years. Although its specific gravity is 8 or more, it is flexible and can be easily processed. Therefore, it can be applied to a variety of uses.

Characteristics

- High specific gravity: It has a greater specific gravity than iron, and has an excellent radiation shielding ability. Its specific gravity is 8.4. (Iron’s is 7.8, for reference.)
- Elasticity: It has excellent elasticity. You can easily process it with scissors or a cutter.
- Lengthy: Lengthy product can be provided, so the processing cost can be reduced.
- Environmentally friendly: It is halogen-free, and is made from environmentally friendly material, not including lead.

Application

- Material for balancers or for damping vibration of rotating equipment such as fan motors
- Vibration damping material for speakers or audio equipment
- Shielding sheet for X-ray radiation equipment (conveyors, testing equipment)
- Shielding material for X-ray control area
